Takashi Kuroki aikido seminar
in Budapest, 2024.

If you are interested in martial arts and want to get an insight into a special style of aikido, I recommend you to attend the seminar of Takashi Kuroki sensei in September. During the training you will not only learn the techniques of freehand aikido, but also learn the relationship of the movements to the sword, stick and Toho iaido developed by Nishio sensei.
This program is not a traditional aikido workout where you get tired of the physical challenges. Rather, the mental challenges will be the focus, as you will get to experience aikido from a whole new perspective that will be especially taxing on the mind.
Learning weapons techniques is not important because we expect to ever use them somewhere. Nishio's sword techniques do not use serious injuries or even fatal cuts, but only controls, which is why we can call his concept Yurusu Budo. The use of weapons magnifies the details of the techniques for a more accurate understanding. In freehand techniques, the details are not clearly visible, a slight turn or twist of the hand is not noticeable. The same movements are very visible with a weapon. The essence is always in the details!
